Combat Round

Each round you and others get a turn according to the initiative order. (91) If you are surprised you can't move or take an action on your first turn.

What can you do on your turn?

You can move and take one action, in either order, or you can break up your move.

You might be able to take a bonus action.

You can briefly communicate.

You can interact with one object or feature of the environment.

You could possibly take a reaction (this is usually done on someone else's turn).

What can you do on someone else's turn?

The only thing you can do (if anything) is a reaction. The opportunity attack is a common reaction.
